To help you make the most of family time this Easter, Campanile have complied some of our favourite family-friendly activities that will inspire you to explore somewhere new. We have listed some fantastic attractions surrounding our hotel which we think you’ll love:
- Visit a museum
There are several museums in and around Manchester which all offer unique exhibits. Listed below are some of the museums that are planning Easter-themed activities for the little ones:
Do you like to have some good old family fun? Do you like to support fantastic causes? Then the Manchester duck race is the perfect Easter activity for you and your clan, the lively event gives the opportunity to race rubber ducks down the river Irwell to support the children’s charity, Brainwave. Not to mention that it is only a 20-minute stroll from Campanile Salford.
This thrilling children’s entertainment centre offers a host of facilities that cater for the ages of 6 months to 16 years with a cool café to refresh the parents. Perfect for all types of budgets and to tire out the kids with endless entertainment…

Standing over 60 metres tall with a fantastic view of the city and the river, the ride lasts for three rotations (10-12 minutes), which gives you an ample opportunity to take in the vivid sights of this effervescent city.

If your looking for a family evening of live entertainment, there is nothing better than a theatre production and with Liverpool’s many theatres you have got a varity of options to suit the whole family, check out our picks:
- Put a spring in your step
Jump, flip and tumble your way through Spring City, Liverpool’s first trampoline park. The park offers family-friendly and disability & autism friendly sessions. There is also a café on-site to give parents and guardians ample opportunity for respite.
This quaint farm offers insight to both locals and visitors about farming and as it’s been a working farm for over 250 years. The farm is home to a variety of animals, including pedigree and rare breeds, which you can meet during the visit. The farm offers milking demonstrations, tractor and trailer rides and special Easter activities around the holidays.
- Explore a stunning spring garden
Dyffryn Gardens offers a superb 55 acre slice of welsh heritage with majestic indoor and outdoor arboretums, filled with rare and intriguing plant-life that will transport you around the globe and through time as you weave through the ever-changing scenery.
This innovative idea aims for the buyer to have fun while exploring the area, and includes an A5 booklet with a map, puzzles and games to play while making your way around. The Cardiff Bay treasure trail gives the family a spy mission to solve, which consists of a 2.5-hour walk around the bay, highlighting the scenic and historic sights of the area.
Cadbury world are offering a magnificent family treat this Easter where they will present two stage shows, an Easter egg hunt and photo opportunities with the famous Cadbury characters as you explore the factory!
If what you are looking for is an educational display of extraordinary natural life then look no further then The National Forrest Adventure Farm where the sheep are currently lambing – a perfect sight for the little ones!
A Dudley librarian who was passionate about preserving the areas traditions alive developed this astounding piece of history in the 1950’s. And the history lives on in with, classes, live demonstrations and dramatic re-enactments. The museum is also holding their annual Easter event, which includes egg decorating, bonnet making and egg & spoon racing!
- Bluewater Shopping Centre
Local to Campanile Dartford, the Bluewater shopping centre has plenty of Easter-themed activities.
Entertain the children and explore where the Lindt Gold Bunny lives! Hop through the warren, see how many times you can count the Lindt Gold Bunny and receive a delicious chocolate reward from the Lindt Master Chocolatiers. Read more here.

- Visit an animal sanctuary
Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, Brentwood, opened by the inspirational Paula and Ernie Clark who took action and help the animals that needed them. Now, the farm has been opened to the public and boasts the legacy of kindness bequeathed by the Clarks and is sponsored by Leona Lewis.
- Visit a museum
Avoid the busy London evenings by staying outside of London but still making the most of its sights by taking a short train ride from Dartford. With London’s incredibly diverse culture and sheer scale, there is a museum out there for everyone, specialising in just about anything from art to science. And we wanted to list just a few these with the hopes that you will find, at least, one that will grab your interest!
